This is Coach Boykin’s fourth year at Mountain View teaching Algebra 2. She was a 2004 University of Delaware graduate with several years of experience teaching middle school before her current position. She grew up practically living at the pool, swimming competitively from the age of 8 until she graduated high school. Her favorite events were the 100 fly and 100 freestyle. While this is her second year coaching the Mountain View Swim & Dive team, she has also spent plenty of time over the past decade at the pool and in the gym coaching fitness and water aerobics classes for adults. She is excited to return this year to help our athletes grow and hit their goals for the season!!

Coach Pickens teaches Spanish and has been at Mountain View for almost 10 years and loves it! She swam all of her life and even made the Olympic Trials in 1992 for the 200 Breaststroke and the 200 IM.

Coach Pickens served as an MV Swim & Dive Assistant Coach under Head Coach Monteon a few years ago. Long before she had kids, she was the head coach at Dacula for 5 years, so she is familiar with how swimming is done in Gwinnett County. Sadly, her kids did not follow in her footsteps so most of the time you will find her at a softball tournament or watching her son run 5K's like a crazy person in cross country or track but she is glad to be back home by the water helping Coach Boykin!

Coach Streeter grew up swimming throughout Gwinnett. Like many of our athletes, she got her start in the Gwinnett County Swim League and swam for 10 years at Maple Ridge and at Swim Atlanta for 8 years. She swam for Peachtree Ridge High School qualifying for state all 4 years. She is a graduate of and was a swimmer for Loyola University where she studied marketing and primarily swam 100 breaststroke & 50 free. She still holds the school record in the 100 breaststroke.

Coach Streeter has over 6 years coaching experience and has coached teams with all ages and skill levels at Maple Ridge and Swim Atlanta! Coach Streeter is currently the Pre Senior Coach at Swim Atlanta Sugarloaf. 

Outside of swimming she volunteers as a leader in a middle and high school ministry group called YoungLife! She is a graphic designer at Reddiset and in college assisted in social media and graphic design for multiple school athletic pages, including swimming.

We are excited to welcome Coach Streeter to our team. We know Coach Streeter's experience both as a swimmer and coach throughout Gwinnett and at the collegiate level will benefit our athletes. 

Coach Kerry Kerr graduated from Archer High in 2016 in Lawrenceville, Georgia where he grew up. In high school, Kerry was a member of Track, XC, and Swimming & Diving. Kerry went on to continue his education at Bethany College (WV), double majoring in Psychology and Theatre with a minor in Spanish. He dove collegially while at Bethany and has been coaching springboard diving since 2016. He has been at Harbins for 2.5 years. With a background in behavior/ABA, Kerry now teaches Kindergarten ASD3. Kerry enjoys long distance running, diving (still), shopping, sharing time with friends and family, and travel. This is his 5th year coaching in GCPS; Lanier, Mill Creek, Mtn. View, & Seckinger. Coach Kerr is excited for another great dive and swim season!
