State meet success and season wrap-up
We officially ended our season last night at the GHSA State Swim Meet! The full list of results and final team standings can be found on our website under Events/Meets/Past Events/GHSA 7A State Swim Prelims/Finals or click HERE. Our Boys 400FR Relay (Riley Richards, Connor Rothwell, Patrick Do and Jaden Le) finished 16th and Riley Richards broke the school record in the 100FR twice yesterday! Our Record board has been updated HERE on the website. Charlotte Thompson finished 4th in the 500FR and 5th in the 200FR! Congrats to our State Team and State Finalists.
Don't forget to save the date, our team banquet is March 7th at 7pm in the MVHS Commons Area. Every athlete will receive a gift and we will honor our athlete's academic and athletic achievements this season.
**SENIORS** If you all no longer want or need your MV swim suits, you can donate them back to the team. Just drop your suits by Coach Pickens or Coach Boykin's room. These would come in handy if anyone happens to lost their suit during the season or forgets one at a meet.
For any swimmers who are interested in continuing to swim or want pre-season conditioning before next year's swim and dive season, Swim Atlanta Hamilton Mill is offering their SWATFit program again. This is a program they specifically created for high school swimmers. It offers club level conditioning and stroke technique without the commitment to club swimming at a discounted price. Many of our swimmers participated in this program last spring and this past fall and found it fun and helpful! There are only a limited number of spots...so sign up now! All the details are in the SWATFit flier.
Divers - there will be Spring Dive Clinics at UGA and Collins Hill for anyone interested in trying the sport of diving, for divers interested in working on their skills or for divers interested in checking out club diving without the full committment. As soon as we get information for these clinics we will send them out!
GO BEARS!!
