Interest Meeting Recap!

Hello 2023-24 MV Swim & Dive Families!

It was great seeing everyone at the Interest Meeting. We are excited to kick this season off and to see new and returning athletes at the pool and on the boards. Registration night is mandatory and is set for Tuesday, September 12th, in the MVHS Commons Area at 6pm. There will be a presentation by the coaches and suit, team wear and spirit wear fittings. If you have not already, athletes need to complete this contact form and parents need to complete this form. Registration fees for returning athletes this year will be approximately $385 and includes a team t-shirt, Friday away pre-meet meal, meet fees, and a spirit fee (yard signs, stickers, etc). As always, if a returning athlete needs to purchase any team gear, they will have the option at registration to select those items before they check out. Registration fees for new athletes range from $485-$515 and include a team t-shirt, team hoodie, swim suit, personalized swim caps or shammy (depending on swimmer/diver status), Friday away pre-meet meal, meet fees, and a spirit fee (yard signs, stickers, etc). Please make sure you attend Registration Night and try on any gear you plan to purchase. Any merchandise (team gear or spirit wear) cannot be returned or exchanged. As a reminder, we are offering sponsor credits and an optional individual wave fundraiser graphic you can use now to help offset registration costs (see below).

Sponsors are a huge asset to our team to keep our costs low for our families. If you know any business that would like to become a sponsor, please have them complete this sponsor agreement form and submit with a check. You can hand deliver the sponsor agreement form and check to Registration Night, or you can mail them to Kimberly Thompson at 2440 Wild Iris Lane, Dacula, GA 30019. If you are interested in earning sponsor credit, please submit this sponsor credit request form with the sponsor agreement form and check. Sponsor credit will only be applied prior to registering and prior to the registration deadline. Sponsor credit will not be issued after an athlete registers or past the registration deadline. Contact our Sponsor Chair, Kimberly Thompson, at [email protected] for questions We've also created this optional individual wave fundraiser (and this cover image) for athletes that would like to ask their friends and family to donate directly to them to help cover registration fees. Athletes and their families can post this graphic to their social media pages or print it out to ask in person. The idea is to ask 30 people to “sponsor a wave” that ranges in cost from $1-$30. If every wave is sponsored, that would raise $465 for an athlete to use for registration fees. If you have any questions, contact Kimberly Thompson at [email protected].

DIVE CLINICS **OPTIONAL Dive Pre-Season Conditioning** The County Dive coaches are offering dive clinics at Collins Hill Aquatic Center as we approach the high school season. This is a great opportunity for current and prospective athletes to get comfortable on the board and hone their skills. The September clinics run 9/5-9/28 on Tues & Thur (choose from 6pm-7:30pm or 7pm-8:30pm) and costs $180 . For more

SWATfit **OPTIONAL Swim Pre-Season Conditioning**

Swim Atlanta Hamilton Mill is offering pre-season conditioning for the high school swim season. They have a few spots left. The SWATfit Fall Session is August 14 - October 13th. It is comprised of 3 practices per week (M,T,TH) from 3:00-4:30pm, and the cost is $275. These sessions are designed to prepare previous high school or summer league swimmers for the high school season. To register, contact Coach Edgar at [email protected].
