Hello! 

This past weekend we concluded our season at the State Championship Meet. We are so proud of our 6 state team members, TJ, Kaden, Adrian, Steven, Gideon & Joshua, for how well they represented our team and our school. Results from the meet are attached. 

In the end, all 3 relays did a fantastic job, especially our 200 yd Freestyle Relay (Gideon, Steven, Kaden, TJ), who returned Saturday for finals, and finished 19^th in the state! 

TJ Thompson qualified for finals in both of his individual events as well! In doing so, he broke his own 50yd Freestyle record AGAIN for the 4^th time this season, with a time of 21.50 seconds!! He placed 5^th in the state in that event, and 20^th in the state in the 100yd freestyle.  

Great job, gentlemen!! 

We also would like to recognize our January Athletes of the Month! These athletes are chosen for their incredible successes, along with having a positive attitude and always giving 110% effort throughout the season. Congratulations Riley Adams and Steven Alzate!! These two amazing swimmers will be recognized at the GCPS Swim & Dive Banquet on March 25th. 

We also look forward to seeing everyone at our MVHS Swim & Dive banquet on Thursday, March 12^th at 6:30pm in the commons. All athletes and their families are invited to attend to enjoy light refreshments and an awards presentation.
